5 Days to Go!

5 days from now and the final book in my 8th Island Trilogy – Inside the Sun – will be released into the world. I can hardly believe it. Especially that I am launching a book during a world-wide pandemic. Nope, had not factored that into my game plan lol. Thank goodness for human resiliency and the ability to adapt!

Hybrid Novel Illustrations

The 8th Island Trilogy is a hybrid novel. One of the main characters is fourteen-year-old Ella. She has an illness preventing her from speaking. Instead of words, Ella uses drawings to communicate. The trilogy includes Ella’s drawings. Here you will find a sample of these illustrations from all three books – Above the Star, Below the Moon, and Inside the Sun. The illustrations are created by author and visual artist, Alexis Marie Chute, and are painted using India Ink on watercolor paper.
