Bursting with Gratitude!
Launching a book sale is exhausting as an author. I always feel like I am not doing enough, while am cognizant of not annoying my friends, family, and social communities. It’s a delicate balance for sure!!
While book promoting is necessity, it can be much more than a dutiful chore.
I genuinely love my books – so much so that it a joy to share them with others. The challenge is to do it in a way that is helpful, generous, and fun.
Being cooped up at home for the last three plus months has meant I need to be creative in way more areas of my life. I’ve met with many students at schools across Alberta in virtual author visits. My goal is to make the kids smile, snap them out of their routine, and inspire them to read and write. It was a blast!!
While all these school visits were going on, I decided I wanted to support the reading-at-home effort and reduced the price of book one in The 8th Island Trilogy – Above the Star – to 99¢. NOW, in the blissful spirit of summer(!!!), I’m continuing the trend. I want to help people keep reading my books. Hence, the Below the Moon (book two) 99¢ e-book sale was born!
