Making the Most of #QuarantineLife
First of all: I hate the word “quarantine.” I can’t spell it correctly for the life of me.
While #quarantinelife can be a pain (we really want to socialize, eat out, etc.), it doesn’t have to be torture.
I happen to be a glass half full kind of girl. While not belittling the seriousness of the situation, I am choosing to look at this social-distancing less negatively than some. Think… Staycation!
I am keeping this mentality, even in the face of challenges beyond my control:
- It has been tough having all my public appearances for my books canceled – my bank account is having a bit of a heart attack.
- People are saving, not spending on things like books, art, and beyond… which is all of my livelihood.
- I’m a slightly anxious yet social person… so grocery shopping is a bit terrifying at the moment, though I REALLY want to hang with my friends.
- More. There are so many repercussions from this scary time… still, I choose to make the best of this.
Below I’m sharing with you some of my glass half full solutions to everything going on.
I truly believe COVID-19 can’t keep us down.
